Welcome to the VBS website!

The theme for this year's Vacation Bible School was “I Love God: I Give Him My All.” It was suggested by one of our VBS children as a response to last year's theme: “God Loves Me: I Give Him My Heart.” What a wonderful way to begin Vacation Bible School, sprouting and growing from a child's faith in Christ!

From July 31st through August 1st, approximately 15 children came to First Baptist every day to learn just some of the ways they can love the Lord: He is my Father (The Parable of the Lost Son), I speak to Him (Do Not Worry, Lord's Prayer), I am faithful to Him (Widow's Offering), I trust in Him (Jesus Calms the Storm), and I follow Him (The Shepherd and His Flock). This year we were especially blessed to have children from the Cornerstone Church's Burundi group. Also joining us (but not for the first time) were volunteers from the Community of Reconciliation (COR) and Hallelujah Community churches (HCC).

While the pictures may speak for themselves, nothing beats the real thing, as the saying goes. Please join us next year for Vacation Bible School. It looks like our theme will be “Jesus' Boat Rocks!” and I am sure VBS will rock too!
